Best Team Cheer Award
CHARM All Stars made us proud winning the 1st prize in the cheerleading category at the CHEER ROCK 2005 Competition in Singapore. CHARM also won 3rd in the dance category and won the Best Team Cheer Award! This is CHARM's debut at international level and prove to be a success one! Congratulation once again and Malaysia BOLEH!
Shirtliff and Team All Stars was at Sungei Wang last weekend cheering for World AIDS Day, The Red Carnival. I would like to thank the SBU girls who came in spirit to support for this charitable cause. This year the theme is Keep The Promise and STOP AIDS.
4. What is your hope and aspiration for the future of cheerleading in Malaysia? I hope to see more cheerleading competitions in Malaysia.I also hope to see this sport rising as any other sport in Malaysia. To see it bringing fame to the country.Cheerleading is a combination of two words. Cheer and lead.I believe that every cheerleader in Malaysia will someday lead the country to success in anyway possible! :)
5. How can we improve the standards locally? To improve our standards locally,we could invite our neighbours that have more experience in cheerleading to help us out.Such as the Thailand National Team,Rangsit from The Rangsit University in Thailand. They came recently to help Team All Stars with our skills before our trip to the UK.And Team All Stars with Rangsit organised a 2 day clinic for all the cheerleaders in Malaysia. It did help alot of teams with their knowledge and skills.Besides that, joining cheerleading camps organised by other neighbours like Singapore. It could help us differenciate the different techniques and skills.I'm sure that Malaysia could improvve trumendously because of their spirit that i've seen every year when the National Cheerleading Competition in Malaysia arrives!
6. Do you think a career in cheerleading is possible in Malaysia? If yes, why? If no, why not?Yes,of course a career in cheerleading is possible in Malaysia. Maybe it will take time since there isn't any official cheerleading association in Malaysia.I hope that there could be a career and that it could help to bring new cheerleaders into the scene. Also publicsing cheerleading as a healthy sport.

*in the past, peeps who are so not into BBGS would call them the Budak-Budak Gila S***! Huhu. Same goes to CBN, and VI...it has it's own stupid mockery meaning.
The fact that 13 of them were first-timer at the Nationals Cheer competition, SMK DJ's Dynamitez won the Champions trophy after 2 years playing brides-maid to Shirtliff! Good Job! Your highly explosive spirit finally earns credit!
The Subang Jaya cheerleading community has shine up brighter this year. Vulcanz, Cyrens and Zircon has inspired other schools joint their ranks too to make it a bigger affair. The inclusion of SMK USJ 13's Warriors and Hollaback team this year is good news. Although both teams ended not in the Top 15, I pretty hope next year they will improve their ranks. It would do great deal if they learn to correct techniques from their big sisters and brothers. My piece of advice, learn your basics rightfully first before attempting any difficult stunt. Good luck WARRIORS and HOLLABACK!
Well it's high time to write about something else, then All Stars and the UK trip. My fellow blog fans might be vomitting blood by now. Huhuhu.

We send 8 girls to compete in the dance division. In this particular division, we had to compete with 2 other new teams from the UK namely X-Factor Upbeat and Extreme ELITE.

Cool! Then afterwards, they have a costume change. That is why the difference of costume colour, from white tops (the first pic) to the red fittings (next few pictures). After the costume change, that is when you see the team doing more aggresive moves! It starts with Missy Elliot's latest hits, Lose Control...then we had one cheer song which was a Hiphop song remixed. Then the ever popular Hollaback song...and we ended with a powerful BOOM! BOOM! song.
Yeah, we won!
which was the first event on the first day!
They made a good debut, although the routine wasn't as clean, but hey very inspiring! Came the 2005 edition, they were one of my favorites. And yes, these Vulcanz boys became heroes of the day. There were a few stunting trick that made their game at higher level. Perhaps the new captain for next year should watch out on the obvious mistake they always do for two years now. Then I can whisper to Dynamitez, should worry of these Subang boys threat!

A brief history of Team All Stars for your kind reference. Perhaps most of the cheerleaders knew about the existence of this bunch of after high-school cheerleaders from the exclusive team called CHARM All-Stars back in 2003. This team was founded by the popular Beverley Hon, the person behind the Cheer competitions organised by Youth2 and Clean & Clear. We assembled after a few cheer freaks (like me!) met her and discussed if we could have an all-star team of our own.I believe this team will contribute a lot in the bid to advance cheerleading into a greater activity. We maybe pioneers, but those who are trailing behind us (the younger cheerleaders) are always welcome to join us to make it a greater episode!
Team All Stars is all about you - cheerleaders!
