Extreme Malaysia All Stars (formerly known as Team All Stars of Malaysia)

Cheer 2006 will be making its 7th appearance in a week, so what have this made the impact to the lives of our fellow cheerleaders? The Cheer competition is held annually which as we all already by now is organised by The Star Youth2 and Clean & Clear.

As this competition is only paved for cheerleaders at high school level, we might not know or even notice what has happened after this high school competitions. Unless you're a vivid cheerleading fan, we already have TWO all-stars in Malaysia which constantly making great endurance to educate and promote cheerleading to all mankind. We heard there were a few more all-stars team to follow suite but to no avail.

Having something to look forward after your high school cheerleading days is good. If you love cheer very much, then having yourself signed up with these all-stars team is your one step to continue to spur your spirit on!

Cheerleading in Malaysia is moving well! It takes all cheerleaders to unite and make this a reality.

Cheer 2006 - The Battle

So who is who should we look out for this coming competition?

1. SHIRTLIFF vs XAVIER

This is an old rivalry between these two teams, with SBU winning almost all except for in 2002. Expect this time around SBU to win again, but maybe with a fight from the CBNers. Considering last year, the Mighty X was only a few points away.

2. DYNAMITEZ vs SHIRTLIFF

Defending champions, against the four time national champion. This would be the most interesting affair. It can go either way. I can't take sides because I'm supporters for both!

3. BLITZERS vs DYNAMITEZ

Both pretty much have the simmilarity in performance. I would expect DJ squad to go one up further.

4. SBU vs SBS

These two schools, were formerly from the BBGS in Bukit Bintang. Intense rivalry expected since they're both neighbours. This would go to SBU, no doubt. Only a miracle will bring SBS further.

5. SHEWANAZ vs CYRENS

The showdown between the 2 top private school team in Malaysia. Shewanaz has been winning since 2003. But with a newer team and inexperience on thier side, expect Sri KL to topple this time around. Maybe.

6. VULCANZ (boys) vs MANTINZ (boys)

Vulcanz are not competing this year because they're not prepared as most of the seniors has left, and the newbies are not up to par. But we would see how Mantin boys could spark the stadium on that day. They would be the centre of attention, after the new champion. I consider VLC still the stronger boys though.

7. KL vs PJ

KL team are most consistent as compared to those from PJ. Meanwhile, the Ipoh and Penang teams also moving forward. But this year around, expect the Top 15 to be filled up by KL teams majority.

Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready for this?

The quest for the 7th national cheerleading championship is on!

Defending champion, Dynamitez has been training hard since late last year. What I heard is the DJ squad is getting better every day. Don't forget 4 times national champion, Shirtliff, who will be back with a great vengeance. The SBU team is finally sending it's strongest team ever, after the school has decided to send only one team, instead of two in previous years.

CBN Xavier and BUD4 Blitzers will be the other dark horses, along side Titans from AMC. Apparently, the AMC team has been trained by the Rangsit University coach for the past 6 months. Interesting!

So what to expect this year?

Well what I will see is that the Top 5 teams will be a very keen fight between the favorites. Any slip ups can cost major points and deduction. Of course, expect a few surprises again just like Blitzers did last year. Stunting wise, difficulty would be much higher. We should be seeing craddle twists and extension libs almost in all routines. And maybe 1-2 amazing stunt transition. I know DJ squad is doing one, and also SBU.
