You might be wondering (or some couldn't be bothered) who the hell are Rangsit cheerleaders? In the first place, I had no blinking idea how to organise an effective clinic by inviting foreign team. The Star has been inviting Team Britain down to KL for the past years, but basically most of us couldn't learn as much due to the time constraint. Last year, the clinic was held only for 3 hours. Sigh. Don't blame the organisers lah!
So this year, Team All Stars made the intention to organise a clinic and equip all cheerleaders with better knowledge. We wanted it to be longer hours so all teams really learn the technique and hopefully adopt what they have learn at Nationals.
In first place, in our mind was to invite a team from Singapore. But due to the lembab communication, we sort for other ways. Then Rangsit came to my mind! Rangsit's cheerleading team is equivelant to Shirtliff and Xavier here in Malaysia. Everyone in Thailand wants to be a RSU cheerleader! So we began to contact them, and they were really humble and interested to have this partnership program.
Rangsit's biggest success thus far is coming out tops at last years' International Cheerleading Championship which is organise annually by the British Cheerleading Association. RSU Team beat Team USA in the Open category, and was overall grand champion. (The highest score for all categories).
At this coming cheer clinic, the RSU team will be teaching basic skills on the first day before moving on to some intermediate and advance skill! So if you are hoping to bring your team to the next level, grab the entry forms and register ASAP because place are very limited!
