Gossip cheer (Part III)

As we all know, there is basically 3 schools that has the edge to win the cheer competition annually. SBU, CBN and DJ.

1. SBU
SMK Seri Bintang Utara (formerly BBGS) is the powerhouse in this competition. The schools most celebrated team, Shirtliff has won the national competition for four years. Since the inception of the Cheer competition in 2000, Shirtliff (Red-Black-White) was the team that sets the mark. CBN and Assuntta was then the other teams who were to give them a fight. Shirtliff worst performance was in 2002 when they came out 3rd (losing to sister team, Green to 2nd place and CBN's Xavier). Maclay is the other team from SBU. Maclay participated in 2001, 2003 and 2004. The other team was Green. But Maclay has grown from strength to wisdom, and power. Maclay has been winning the SBU Cheer Carnival for 2 years in a row, so we hope to see the emergence of a new powerhouse from SBU.

2. CBN
SMK Convent Bukit Nanas is the rival to SBU. Catfights every year! No denying. Be it the debate competition, be it a cheerleading competition! These two school will have its own showdown. The mighty X - Xavier is CBN's proudest asset. Xavier was in the scene when finishing 2nd at Cheer 2001. The team was then captained by...Kak Ruz. Xavier found out that the points between them and Shirtliff was close, so it vowed the team to go further up and train harder for the next edition. And yes it was worth it! Xavier was champ, and dethroned Shirtliff of winning it for the 3rd consecutive time. But since then, Xavier hasn't been performing to its mark. Finishing 3rd in 2003, and a rung lower in 2004. The other team (or say Junior team) from CBN is Adele. Adele came out 3rd in its debut performance! A sign of good news, that CBN is never short of talent. So what to expect in 2005 from CBN?

3. DJ
Dynamitez from SMK Damansara Jaya has never won the competition before. Although these hardworking girls has came near twice! Dynamitez came 2nd place in 2003 and 2004. In 2001, the school team was known as DJ Fireflies and their debut came out 3rd. Amazing team, and a wonderful program. The captains of Dynamitez has a tradition to follow. A regime of training and skills technique has been passed down. And we see Dynamitez going stronger every year. Perhaps more surprises this year huh?

How they fare in the past:
